Chapter History

The Lancaster Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association (the “Lancaster Chapter”) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.Originally two Penn State alumni clubs, one for ladies and one for men, existed in Lancaster County, and upon the merger of these two groups in 1988, the current chapter was formed.The Chapter is governed by a Board of Directors selected from its membership.

Chapter Purpose

The Lancaster Chapter is a non-profit organization centered on the ideals that embody Penn State -- charity, integrity, and success with honor. To that end, the Chapter regularly holds fundraisers for its scholarship fund.The Chapter annually awards scholarships to students from Lancaster County who are matriculating at a Penn State campus.Also key to Chapter activities are social, academic, athletic, and public service events, designed to engage members of all ages!

Board Meetings

The Board of Directors of the Lancaster Chapter (the "Board") typically meet at various restaurants in the Lancaster area on the last Wednesday of each month.  All members are welcome to attend!Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and generally last one hour.Please check the Events Calendar for the latest information on Board meetings.
